As you may be aware, on 15th December 2023, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) published a consultation seeking views on the proposed destruction of post-1858 original wills and other documents. The MoJ also published a press release on the same day, as well as sharing a video on their social media accounts.
I would encourage you to respond to the consultation by 23rd Feberuary 2024 and to sign the petition which went live on 9th January 2024. The petition will run for 6 months until 9th July 2024. You can respond to the consultation in the following ways:
